This is the complete Marathon archive from Fileball.net encompassing every version of every file uploaded to the site.  Included in this 2 DVD set are the UT99 Marathon: Resurrection files stored at Fileball.net.  Frigidman has provided a SQL database dump that will connect the names and descriptions to the files.  Import the database dump to create your own SQL database.  The files that were stored in the Fileball archives will restore into the same directory structure once restored from DVD to hard disk.  You will want to keep them relative to one another in their directories and not change any of the file or directory names if you wish to use the SQL dump.

This is a Mac/PC hybrid DVD disk set and because the archive is so large, it spans two DVDs.  Included on the DVD is a Mac and a PC program called "Roxio Restore" that will stitch the two DVDs back into one main directory.  Roxio Restore allows you to restore an individual file or folder, or the entire disk set.  The Mac version of Roxio Restore runs on Mac OSX v10.3 or higher; the PC version runs on Windows 2000, XP, or Vista.

You have in your hands the summed work of a thousand Marathoners.  Originally the archive of files came from Marathon.org and their Northwest Archive.  Steve Campbell mirrored that site with the Midwest Archives, adding to it continuously.  The Midwest Archive was incorporated into Bungie.org and no longer mirrored Marathon.org.  Once at Bungie.org Claude Errera serviced the archive and Marathon fans grew it tremendously.  When Frigidman brought Evihcra onto the scene, I hand transferred the Bungie.org archive to the Evihcra servers by telneting into Bungie.org and relocating them via FTP.  Claude then worked behind the scenes at Evihcra to approve the files and put them live, using this opportunity to mirror Evihcra and Bungie.org.  After a time, the Borg archive stopped accepting new Marathon files and Claude only populated the Evihcra archives.  By this time Evihcra was now version bumped into Fileball.net and became the single largest Marathon Archive on the net.

Sadly Fileball is no longer accepting new files and because of a server meltdown is now only a simple FTP site with no front end.  This Fileball archive is being sent off into the 7 subsets of Earth for your safe keeping and to grow it and further distribute it as you will.  There is a lot of history in your hands, a lot of hard work by dedicated Marathoners for over a decade.
